Taps MUST be fastened on with screwsno nails or rivets.

·         Jazz shoes – NO Boots or sneakers

For All Classes – No hair covering the neck or in the face. Girls must have their hair pulled into a bun. If not long enough for a bun, hair must be in a ponytail, braid, or pulled back and away from the face. Bangs and loose strands must be kept off the face with clips or pins. No jewelry: this is especially important in acrobatic classes.
Dance shoes: NO dance shoes are to be worn outside the Ballet Academy – Not even “Just from the car into the school.” Those few steps pick up chemicals, oils, and auto fluids leaked onto the parking lot, plus dirt and debris; all of these deteriorate our dance floors. If you wear dance shoes outside the studio, they become street shoes, which are not allowed on the studio floors.

Repeated disregard for apparel and grooming requirements may result in a student losing the right to participate in class.
